Tying It All Together

With Jimmy safe, I am now devoting myself to putting the pieces together for a blockbuster article on LexCorp, Lex Luthor, the ray that hit both Six Flags parks, and the bizarre happenings around town.

Jimmy has an incredible story to tell that may finally end up implicating Lex Luthor himself. You can read about all of it on his blog, www.jimmystruth2power.com

But I'm going to need irrefutable proof.

I'm close to breaking the story, but I need incontrovertible evidence tying Lex Luthor to all of the recent events. If history has proven anything, it's that Lex is incredibly cunning. Time and again, he's managed to evade culpability for events that have mysteriously happened around him.

This time, we have to make sure he is finally brought to justice.

Now that Jimmy's free, he'll be taking over the day-to-day developments on the story -- a story that he has built from the beginning. It's only fitting that he should bring it to conclusion.

KIDNAP VIDEO ANALYSIS

Now that we've had a chance to study the video, there are a couple of things we do know. We know that there was some sort of struggle, and that the video that Jimmy was shooting was dislodged. We know that he was kidnapped and taken away.

But we don't know just about anything else.

What was the involvement of the informant? Was Jimmy meeting with the informant when this kidnapping attempt occurred? Was the informant himself kidnapped as well?

Who kidnapped Jimmy?

And a more speculative question: Did LexCorp higher-ups order the kidnapping to stop the rogue scientist from thwarting the brainwashing plan Jimmy uncovered?

Who would benefit from Jimmy's disappearance? What other reason would there be to kidnap Jimmy, other than to stop his investigation of the LexCorp-Six Flags connection?

And where is Jimmy Olsen now?

If his kidnappers are reading this, please don't harm him. Please. The Daily Planet is prepared to comply with any demands in order to get Jimmy back safely.

JIMMY KIDNAPPED!

We have some word on Jimmy Olsen. Unfortunately, it's very disturbing news.

We now know that Jimmy did not disappear by his own choice. He was kidnapped.

I did some investigation at the last place Jimmy might have been before his disappearance -- Six Flags New England. Some old-style journalism. It took a couple hours, but I tracked down a video that had been turned into the lost & found. It shows definitively the events just before his disappearance. It is quite clear to me now that Jimmy was kidnapped by persons unknown. Watch here:

This is the most important clue we have. We have to examine the video carefully to see if we can get any clues to where Jimmy is being held.

Please, help me find Jimmy.

And a message to Jimmy, wherever he is: We won't give up until you are safe and free, friend.

They've announced "Gold Ticket" in park scavenger hunts to reward winners with a seat on the very first train out of the station on Preview Day.

Details here. If you want to say, "I was first" and get a cool Gold Ticket, this is the "ticket" for you.

While I was out postering the town to find Jimmy, I saw a lot of Earth Day posters around.

Most of the Earth Day posters carry familiar messages – celebrate Gaia, recycle, stop global warming.

But I saw one of them that was a little... off. I was able to scan one of them.

It Doesn’t Add Up

There's a video at See The Ride which features Six Flags officials remarkably incurious about the beams that hit their parks.

In it, the park president says "You're going to have strange occurrences when you're talking about doing the kind of things to these rides that we're doing."

Somebody knows more than this, and isn't talking – yet.

Lost : Jimmy Olson

Jimmy was supposed to be back last week. He's not here. I've called around, and nobody has heard from him in weeks. His family never saw him at the reunion.

I'm worried. It's not like him to just drop off the grid like this. I checked his blog – Yes, I finally had a chance to read Jimmy's blog - and I don't like what I read there. Informants, moles, and hacking into LexCorp - Now, I'm really worried.

Something had to be done, so I asked the Daily Planet's design team to create posters to get the word out about Jimmy. Here's what it looks like:

Please, send this to anyone who may have information about Jimmy. The more people who see this; the better our chances of finding him.

We need all the help we can get.

We have to find Jimmy Olsen.

Lighting / Bizarro : A natural occurance?

Update on the investigation into the "laser-like beams" that struck Six Flags New England and Six Flag Great Adventure a few weeks ago.

It seems that police have "ruled out" any type of "artificial phenomena," and they suspect some kind of "rocket lightning" or "ball lightning" phenomena.

The question, of course, is how could natural phenomena hit two Six Flags parks within seconds of each other and leave the surrounding areas untouched?

The hunt for bizarre events happening throughout the region is picking up.

That’s why I’ve asked all of you to document strange occurances happening around you -- anything that is opposite or reversed to the way that things usually are. Like dogs eating with forks and knives or police robbing criminals.

The rash of strange events started around the time of the beams hitting the Six Flags parks and may or may not be connected to that event.

With your help, we will get to the bottom of this strangeness!

Bizarro Transformation and Lighting Strikes Connected?

Have the Bizarro roller coasters at Six Flags that were hit by the "laser-like beams" been transformed by the hit? That’s the big question out there.

Many witnesses claim that there was a "wave of energy" or a "transforming light" that pulsed through the coaster tracks and changed it somehow.

But Six Flags spokespeople are adamant that no such transformation occured. I’ve made several queries to sources inside Six Flags and none of them will confirm that the beam actually altered anything.

I will be following this part of this story, and try to get to the bottom of this.

These videos show a strange, lightning-like phenomenon striking the Superman: Ride of Steel and Medusa roller coasters.

Whatever happened at that moment, it was big. The flash of light and sound could be seen and heard for miles around, and the fact that the phenomena hit two Six Flag parks is a bit troubling.

I'm going to need help. I need you to send in any pictures or videos of strange events you witness.

I'm working on a story about the recent string of weird happenings around the region. Over the last few days, we've received numerous reports and pictures of some very strange activities, and Perry White has put me on the story.

Here's just a sample of the kind of oddness that seems to be sweeping the area.

Special Forces in Metropolis

I've been assigned to write an investigative piece about the Special Crimes Unit. While it's one of the most lauded divisions of the Metropolis Police Department -- keeping us safe from super-powered villains when Superman isn't available -- many of its skills, resources, and technology have been shrouded in secrecy.

It's a great story. The people deserve to know exactly what kind of firepower is in the hands of those who prepare the city for metahuman threats.

Lex Luthor, Untouchable?

It's a well known fact that Lex Luthor is a master of public relations. No one can rise to a position of power without a certain amount of PR dexterity.

However, the former-President of the United States has surrounded himself with so many layers of PR experts, charitable contributions, artists, athletes, and celebrities (all of whom are beholden to him) that he makes Stryker's Island look like Centennial Park. Any one of these entities can be called upon at a moment's notice to bat down any scandal, rumor, or report that may threaten to tarnish Luthor's image.

It's an impressive operation, but a journalist's job is to look beyond these layers and seek out the truth.

So I'm starting a blog. Here, you'll get up close and personal with me, Lois Lane, star reporter for The Daily Planet. You'll find out what goes on behind the scenes of a major newspaper, what's happening in Metropolis, and what's happening in my life. Welcome!
